About

My name is Marc Papas. I moved back to Los Angeles at the end of 2020 and rapidly increased by cycling output once I realized how perfect the weather was for year round riding. I started explicitly trying to ride for street coverage on the last day of 2023, and have consistently been clearing out the rides of LA county since then. I explicitly made a goal of riding all of Los Angeles city around August of 2024 and have been chipping away at it since.

Cyclingwise, I feel like I straddle a few different cultures. I came to road riding through Triathlon (starting in 2016), briefly dabbling in bike commuting during that time. Starting in 2021 I began doing longer endurance rides (building my base through long flat river path rides). 2022 I began climbing in the hills more often. 2023 I added in bike commuting to my normal regime. And 2024 onwards all of these are combined (I have a climbing bike, a time trial bike, and a vintage steel commuter bike, and use all of them on a frequent basis). I find it a great way to keep fit, explore the world, reduce my car usage, and clear my mind.

My instagram for cycling is @greekcube_rides (link) where I will post updates and ephemeral pictures and videos of my rides and exploration.
